Tennis Maxi Poster: The "tennis girl" photo is one of the most famous images ever captured in the world of tennis. Taken by Martin Elliot in September 1976 it features his girlfriend at the time, Fiona Butler, approaching the net scratching her bum, revealing that she is not wearing any underwear. The image was first used in a calendar in 1977 and when it achieved widespread distribution the following year it sold two million copies as a poster. I found this rolled up poster resting on top of a trash can in 1993 as a 13 year old. I struck gold but it was short lived. I was told that I too had to throw it away. I placed it on a another trash can. I wonder how long the cycle continued.
