The classic Japanese artist Hiroshige is best known for his horizontal-format landscape series 'The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō' and for his vertical-format landscape series 'One Hundred Famous Views of Edo'. This beautiful landscape Suijin Shrine and Massaki on the Sumida River is taken from the latter. Some of the many subject of his work were beautiful women, popular actors, and scenes of the urban pleasure districts of Japan's Edo period (1603–1868), atypical of the ukiyo-e genre. Complete with a 61cm x 91.5cm black wooden frame, fronted with transparent Perspex and ready to hang in your home.
