Designed by Chris Bilheimer, the album cover of Green Day's 5th studio album is a thing of peculiarity. Wanting to remove the identity of the seemingly average American middle aged man with the notorious bible phrase and album title, 'nimrod' as act to reflect the album, the punk rock band succeeded by ironically covering the faces of two profound scientists and calling them stupid.
