Gill Del Mace was born in the United Kingdom but has travelled extensively throughout her life. From an early age, she travelled with her father in stunt shows, theatres, and movie sets throughout Great Britain and Europe. These formative years provided the lifelong inspiration for a unique exploration of the theatrical and dramatic including the notion of fantasy art of exotic women. Her latest exhibition, "Side Show", brings to life a wonderful imagination. These painted memories, these characters and visions, are executed on canvas with loving detail and a potent ability, reproduced in Limited Edition Print runs of 250. Gill's characters, surreal, bizarre and magnetic in their presence, invite you into another world. Gill Del-Mace's work has led to yet more travelling all over the world and as a result, she has a rich experience of different culture with the art galleries, museums and theatres of the world, her favourite haunts. San Francisco in the mid 1970's saw the emergence of Gill Del-Mace as a professional artist. Exhibiting figurative studies in pastels and charcoal drawings gave her the drive and confidence to explore and develop her medium of choice - oil on canvas.

Over the years, through many exhibitions and commissions, Gill has created a memorable cast of characters that are at once evocative, theatrical and sublime in their presence on canvas and paper. A complex chemistry of influences and skilfully developed techniques, have combined to give us an artist of true talent and vision - a master of the medium. Her works have been exhibited nationally and internationally and are much sought after by many astute collectors.

Gill Del-Mace continues to create her sublime and evocative paintings and is respected the world over as one of the great exponents of Magic Realism. Her work stands as a testament to her vision, talent and potent ability as an artist.

Gill discovered Magic Realism in the early wighties whilst on a visit to Europe and was instantly fascinated by the art, the name itself conjuring up visions of her past. A past influenced by weird and wonderful people, tattooed ladies, contortionists, clowns and movie people whilst travelling to different countries with her family. All of this led to a colourful array of experiences to draw from, and put into her present day paintings.

These prints have been personally inspected and approved as authentic editions and each print has been numbered and signed by the artist.
