Football Posters

Popartuk Knowledge Base

Football (also known as soccer) posters are very popular, and almost every true supporter has a poster of their favourite team hanging from their wall. Football posters vary; some are dedicated to just one player, such as the legendary David Beckham, or show the whole team in all its glory, such as the Arsenal Squad.

There are also other types of football posters. One type is simply a team crest or logo, which is popular amongst fans. An example of this is the Liverpool crest. Another has a display of the squad, with details, or stats, showing information such as height and weight, as well as kit number and amount of caps.

Stadiums are huge and incredibly impressive structures, and obviously have their own posters. Venues such as Stamford Bridge and the new home of Arsenal FC, the Emirates stadium, are great examples of excellent football pitches, where many trophies have been raised and titles won.

Teams are not only different in terms of league positions and skill, but also the kits they were. Home and away strips are an important part of a supporter’s collection, and posters show teams and individual players in the different kits they wear.

There are collectors who seek out old photos and posters of previous squads, such as the World Cup winning squad of England in 1966, which are becoming increasingly hard to find, and therefore more collectable.
