Special Midi Photography Poster: With an elevation of 8,000 ft, Machu Picchu (Manly Peak) would seem a long way up to have ever held any administrative responsibilities, it was built some time between 1460 & 1470 for Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui an Incan Ruler. Machu Picchu is 43 miles northwest of Cuzco in the north of Peru, it has the Urabamba river gorge below and the Huaynac Picchu Mountain above, this landscape photograph captures the eeriness of the site in its isolation wonderfully.
