Brooklyn Bridge Print: Since it was first opened in May 1883, The Brooklyn Bridge has become an iconic part of the New York Skyline, appearing in many photographs throughout the world and in 1964 it was officially made a National Historic Landmark. Around the time after it's completion, the building of the bridge was described as a "literal and genuinely religious leap of faith" because the technology at the time was not really adequate enough to compensate. The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States and until 1903 it was the worlds longest suspension bridge. This beautiful portrayal of the bridge at night shows it in all it's glory with the spotlights shining down onto the East River, creating a picturesque scene. Another example of the endless talents of photographer Henri Silberman.
