Photography Poster: A view of the Ponte Vecchio bridge from across the river, in the Italian city of Florence. Unlike al the other bridges in Florence, Ponte Vecchio was not destroyed by the Germans during their retreat in World War II. This is, allegedly, because of an express order by Hitler. Maybe he thought the bridge was too beautiful and significant to destroy.
