Music Poster: Band member of English punk rock band the Sex Pistols John Simon Ritchie-Beverly was better known as Sid Vicious; he died of a drug overdose at age 21; the name Sid Vicious reportedly came from a joke involving the pet hamster of Johnny Rotten named "Sid the Vicious", as he had a habit of biting people. This portrait of Sid Vicious was taken in a room of the Chelsea hotel in New York, the place his girlfriend eventually met her demise as a result of a stab wound to her abdomen
