A Colourful Victory

Muhammad Ali Print: As an amateur he won a gold in the light heavyweight division. On turning professional he went on to become the first boxer to win the lineal heavyweight championship three times. Well known for his pre match hype, "trash talking" his opponents on television and face to face before the match and even more well known for his unorthodox fighting style which he knew as the now famous "Float like a butterfly, Sting like a bee". His personality quips and fighting technique have made him a cultural icon and although he is now retired, in 1999 he won both Sportsman Of The Century and Sports Personality Of The Century by the BBC.
