In an effort to preserve records deemed "culturally and aesthetically significant". Aside from being the biggest selling album of all time, Thriller also contained seven #1 hit singles, remained on Billboard's Top 10 for one year, won the Grammy award for Best Album and was recently inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
