Music Poster: Fall Out Boy came together around 2000. Vocalist Patrick Stump, bassist Peter Wentz, drummer Andrew Hurley and guitarist Joseph Trohman had all been in and out of various units connected with Chicago's underground hardcore scene. Classed as pop-punk, they owe a lot to the emo scene, debuting in 2001 and releasing a split LP on Uprising.
