Art Poster: This Biblical Illumination from the ‘Chi Rho’ page of the book of Kells, is to be found along with rest of the book at Trinity College, Dublin, Eire. The book was copied by hand and illuminated by Monks around 800 A.D. The work is presumed to have been carried out on the Island of Iona, between Scotland and Ireland, but is named after the 'Abbey of Kells' in the Midlands of Ireland where it was kept between the 9th Century and 1541.
