Film Poster: When Pulp Fiction was released in 1994 at the Cannes film festival it was clearly a movie like no other, with it's excessive violence, black humour and colourful characters it became one of the cult-movie hits of the nineties; Pulp Fiction combined with the success of his previous gangster movie Reservoir Dogs made Quentin Tarantino one of the most famous directors in the world, it was also the big breakthrough for stars like Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson. But Pulp Fiction is probably best known for the come back of John Travolta who stars as addicted gangster Vincent Vega who has a hot date with Mia Wallace, the Big Marsellus Wallace's wife and the role of Bruce Willis as prize-fighter Butch Coolidge. Tarantino also directed Jackie Brown and Kill Bill 1 and 2, also starring Uma Thurman. Early in his career he wrote the script for True Romance.
