Art Print: Sunflowers on Gold, painted in 1888 by Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, is the first in a series of sunflower paintings; Van Gogh began the series after leaving Holland to live in the south of France where he painted sunflowers to decorate a bedroom for his friend and fellow artist Paul Gauguin; the sunflowers are in various stages in the life cycle, some withered and some fully in bloom while some are getting ready to blossom.
