Birds and Flowers, 2010 Square Calendar

Japanese Art Calendar: Born in 1797, Utagawa Hiroshige was one of the last great figures of the oriental art tradition, Ukiyo-e. This fabulous calendar features twelve fantastic kacho-e images (prints depicting flowers and birds), each accompanied by the English translation of the beautiful poem found on the print, such as 'Kingfisher above a Yellow-flowered Water Plant; Small shrimp by the shore fleeing as the boat comes in under a swimmer's moon'.
