91.5 cm x 61 cm Poster, Price: £3.99
British Art Poster: English Pre-Raphaelite artist John William Waterhouse created this stunning painting in 1888, the first of several different versions, after being inspired by Lord Alfred Tennyson's 1832 poem 'The Lady of Shalott', which tells the sad tale of a young lady whose love was unrequited. Legend has it that the Lady of Shalott was forbidden from looking directly at the world, instead using a reflection in a mirror and weaving what she saw into a beautiful tapestry.
