The Scream

Expressionist Art Poster: One of the best known images in the world of art and certainly the most recognisable painting by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch, 'The Scream' has an almost unique ability to stop every viewer in their tracks, forcing them to look closer and think about what they are seeing. Completed in 1893, it was not until many years later that the artist confessed he was near madness at the time, claiming that 'nature was screaming' in his blood.
